Tasks & Comments

Create, manage, and track tasks within your BIM projects.

Creating a Task

  1. Open a project in the PM module
  2. Switch to the "Tasks" tab
  3. Click "New Task"
  4. Fill in the fields:

Status Workflow

Tasks progress through the following statuses:

Typical Flow

Todo → In Progress → Review → Done

Quick Status Change

  • Checkbox: Click the checkbox next to the task to mark it as Done immediately
  • Reopen: Click the checkbox again to reset the status to Todo

Priority Levels

Default Priority

New tasks automatically receive Medium priority. Only non-default priorities (low, high, critical) are shown as badges.

Task Types

Subtasks

Tasks can have subtasks (parent-child relationship):

  1. Open an existing task
  2. Click "Add Subtask"
  3. The new task is created as a child of the current task

The number of subtasks is displayed in the task list.

Comments

Every task has a comment section:

  1. Open a task
  2. Scroll to the comment section
  3. Enter your comment
  4. Click "Send Comment"

Comment Types

Automatic comments show the old and new values (e.g., "Status: Todo → In Progress").

GAEB Linking

Tasks can be linked to GAEB cost positions. A link icon appears next to linked tasks.

Editing a Task

  1. Click on the task in the list
  2. Or click "Edit"
  3. Modify the desired fields
  4. Save

Duplicating a Task

  1. Click "Duplicate"
  2. A copy of the task is created

Deleting a Task

  1. Click "Delete"
  2. Confirm the deletion

Irreversible

Deleted tasks cannot be recovered. Use the "Cancelled" status if you want to archive a task instead.

Bulk Operations

Edit multiple tasks at once:

  1. Select multiple tasks
  2. Use the bulk actions:
    • Change Status - Set all selected tasks to a new status
    • Change Priority - Set all selected tasks to a new priority

Task Views

All Tasks

Via "Tasks" in the sidebar, you can see all tasks across all projects. Each task shows:

  • Title with checkbox
  • Associated project
  • Priority badge
  • Due date (if set)

Assigned to Me

Via "Assigned to Me", you can see only tasks assigned to you, across all projects.

Project Tasks

In the "Tasks" tab of a project, you see only tasks belonging to that project.

Time Tracking

Track time spent per task:

  • Estimated Hours - Time planning before starting
  • Actual Hours - Time actually spent

In the task list, progress is shown as "actual/estimated" (e.g., "2/4h").

Due Dates

Tasks with due dates display:

  • Today - Shown as "Heute" (Today)
  • Tomorrow - Shown as "Morgen" (Tomorrow)
  • Overdue - Date shown in red
  • Other - Date in DD.MM. format
