Details Panel

The Details Panel on the right side shows extended information and options for the selected position.

Opening the Panel

Click on the Code or the Link icon of a position in the table. The Details Panel opens on the right side.

Position format:

  • Format: 001.001 - Code with link icon
  • Click on Code or Link icon - Opens Details Panel

Further interactions in the table:

  • Click on long text icon:
    • (filled) - Long text present, opens editor
    • (outline) - No long text, opens empty editor
  • Double-click on short text - Inline editing
  • Double-click on UP/Unit - Inline editing (also possible in the Details Panel)

Editing Long Text

Add detailed descriptions:

  1. In the Details Panel, find the Long text field
  2. Enter the complete service description
  3. The text supports line breaks
  4. Included in GAEB export

Custom Quantities

In addition to automatic BIM quantity determination, you can define custom quantities:

Adding Custom Quantity

  1. Click on "Custom Quantity"
  2. Enter a name (e.g. "Deduction for openings")
  3. Enter the value as a number
  4. Select the unit (m, m2, m3, pcs, etc.)
  5. "Save"

Using Formulas

You can use formulas to calculate quantities:

Examples:

  • {Length} * {Width} - Calculate area
  • {Volume} * 2.5 - Volume with factor
  • {Count} - {Deduction} - Calculate difference

Available variables:

  • {Length} - Length from BIM
  • {Area} - Area from BIM
  • {Volume} - Volume from BIM
  • {Count} - Number of elements
  • {CustomName} - Your own defined quantities

Merging Quantities

The total quantity is calculated automatically:

  • BIM Quantity (automatically from linked elements)
  • + Custom Quantities (user-defined)
  • = Total Quantity (transferred to position)

Price Suggestions

The system automatically suggests prices from the price archive:

  1. Create a new position
  2. The system searches for similar positions in the archive
  3. Click on Price Suggestions in the Details Panel
  4. Suggested prices are displayed with:
    • UP (unit price)
    • Project (source project)
    • Date (when used)
  5. Click on a suggestion to apply it

Linked Elements

List of all linked data elements:

  • Element name
  • IFC type
  • Quantities (length/area/volume)
  • Select - Click on an element to focus it in the viewer
  • Remove - Delete link

Zoom to Element:

Right-click on a linked element - "Zoom to Element" - The camera flies to the position in the 3D viewer

Recalculate Quantity

Update quantities from linked BIM elements:

  1. Click on "Synchronize Quantity"
  2. The quantities are recalculated from all linked elements
  3. Sum is updated

Automatic Update

This function retrieves the current property values (length, area, volume, count) from all linked BIM elements. Useful when the model has changed.

Position Status & Notes

Track the processing status of individual positions and add notes:

Setting Status

Each position can have a workflow status:

Needs ReviewOrange warningPosition needs to be reviewed
In ProgressBlue clockPosition is being worked on
DoneGreen checkmarkPosition is complete

To change status:

  1. Hover over a position
  2. A small appears to the right of the description
  3. Click on it → Dropdown with status options appears
  4. Select the desired status

To remove status:

  • Click on the status icon → Select "No Status"

Adding Notes

Add annotations to individual positions:

  1. Click on the of a position
  2. Select "Add note"
  3. Enter your note
  4. Click "Save"

Positions with notes show a comment icon. Hover over it to see the note in a tooltip, or click on it to edit.

Combinable

Status and notes can be set independently. A position can have both, just one, or neither.
