Section Planes

Create cuts through the model for better insight.

Activate Section Plane

1. Open the Toolbox menu in the toolbar
2. Click Section Plane
3. A section plane is placed through the center of the model

Adjust Section Position

After activation, a 3D gizmo (control cross) appears:

• Drag the gizmo to move the section plane
• Rotate the gizmo to tilt the section plane
• The model is cut in real-time

Reverse Section Direction

Click Section Plane again in the Toolbox menu to reverse the section direction:

• 1st click: Activate section plane
• 2nd click: Reverse direction
• 3rd click: Remove section plane

Exit Section Mode

Click the Exit Section button in the top right of the viewer.

Use Cases

Floor Plan View

1. Activate the section plane
2. Rotate the gizmo horizontally
3. Move to approximately 1.2m height
4. You see the floor plan at door height

Facade Section

1. Activate the section plane
2. Rotate the gizmo vertically
3. Move through the building
4. Analyze the facade construction

Detail Views

1. Activate the section plane
2. Position the gizmo in the desired area
3. Use the reverse function for different perspectives
