Creating Positions
Create lots, groups, and positions following the GAEB structure.
New Lot
- Click on "Add Lot"
- Enter the 2-digit code (e.g. "01", "02")
- Enter a short text (e.g. "Shell Construction")
- Optional: Add long text
- "Save"
Lot Recognition
Positions with 2-digit codes are automatically created as lots at the top level.
New Group
- Click on "Add Group"
- Select the parent level (lot or another group)
- Enter the code (e.g. "310" for masonry)
- Enter a short text
- "Save"
New Position
There are two ways to create a new position:
Method 1: Via Toolbar
- Click on "Add Position"
- Select the parent group
- Fill in the fields:
- Code - Position number (e.g. "310.001")
- Short text - Description
- Quantity - Amount
- Unit - UoM (m2, pcs, etc.)
- UP - Unit price
- The TP (total price) is calculated automatically
Method 2: From Properties Panel
Create positions directly from BIM element properties:
- Select a BIM element in the 3D viewer
- The Properties Panel opens on the right
- Navigate to a Property Set (e.g. "Pset_WallCommon")
- Click on a Property Key (e.g. "FireRating", "LoadBearing")
- Click on "New Position..."
- In the modal:
- The short text is automatically filled from the property value
- Pset Lookup: Click on the icon to browse and insert other property values from the element
- Select the quantity directly from the BIM data:
- Length (m)
- Area (m2)
- Volume (m3)
- Count
- The unit is set automatically
- Enter code and UP
- Price Suggestion: Click on the database icon to suggest prices from the price archive
- "Create" - The position is linked with the element
Smart Linking
With this method, the element is automatically linked with the position and the quantity is taken from the BIM data.
From Template
- Click on "From Template"
- Select a master template
- Transfer positions via drag & drop
