Introduction to BIM AVA
Welcome to BIM AVA - your platform for Building Information Modeling with integrated cost estimation.
What is BIM AVA?
BIM AVA combines:
- 3D Visualization - Interactive display of IFC models
- GAEB/AVA Cost Estimation - German construction cost standards
- Collision Detection - Automatic overlap detection
- Model Comparison - Analyze version differences
- Annotations - 3D markers in the model
- Real-time Collaboration - Multiple users simultaneously
Quick Start
1. Create a Project
Click "New Project" in the left sidebar and enter a name.
2. Upload a Model
Click "Upload" and select an IFC file. Conversion starts automatically.
3. Activate the Model
Activate the model via the Checkbox in the model list. The model will be loaded in the viewer.
4. Cost Estimation
Open the Costing Panel on the right and create positions according to GAEB standards.
User Roles
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Admin | All features + user management |
| User | Create projects, manage models, calculate costs |
| Viewer | Read-only access to shared projects |
